Education Commission

Jos Archdiocese is spreading the gospel through education and the formation of all children through the principle of inclusive education aimed at complimenting government's efforts. With the growth recorded through schools, the Church intends to not only send her wards to school, but to ensure that they are properly educated. These social institutions are described in their commission's education system through its involvement in Primary and Post-Primary Schools which are acknowledged for their academic achievements, discipline and moral formation. It has to its credit, eight (8) primary and eight (8) secondary schools, and an Inter-diocesan Spiritual Year Centre in Kuru. It has three (3) Houses of Formation for the religious, one (1) Minor Seminary, and Centre for Female Catechists at Kwall. College of Mary Immaculate, Zawan and St. Theresa Girls College, Jos have been added to the Archdiocesan fleet 


Objectives

Through education the Church seeks to affirm human dignity, truth and justice, to effect; the highest spiritual, moral, social and academic standards to reach and change the lives of all our people at every level
